ROXUL - The Fire Marshal's Public Fire Safety Council in alliance with the Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs are diligent collaborators in supporting the grass roots educational efforts of the more than 120,000 men and women representing the Canadian Fire Services. The resulting campaigns and initiatives help drive fire and safety awareness and emergency preparedness that can make the difference between life and death in a crisis situation. Two of the most important messages firefighters strive to reach out to people with are the importance of having working smoke alarms throughout the home and preparing and practicing a home fire escape plan.
"ROXUL is proud to partner with both the Fire Marshal's Public Fire Safety Council and the Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs. We believe in their efforts and want to support their initiatives for overall community safety and fire prevention," said Trent Ogilvie, ROXUL President. "Too many lives are lost due to preventable house fires. Through this partnership we hope to build awareness and to educate community members on fire prevention and the need to have a fire escape plan."
"The Council is happy to have ROXUL as our newest partner to further enhance fire safety," said Tadeusz (Ted) Wieclawek, Chair, Fire Marshal's Public Safety Council. "We look forward to cultivating this partnership as it will be a significant addition to reaching community residents in Ontario - and our fire safety partners across the country."
